What can you use the app for?

DimDim can be used to make web conferencing easier than it normally is; this software allows you to hold a meeting with anyone wherever they are in the world. Nothing needs to be downloaded and installed, you can use video and audio conferencing technologies to work together along with whiteboards, the ability to show slide presentations to one another and also share your desktop (if you install a small plug-in). DimDim is open source, although there are also professional and enterprise editions of the software that can support many more people. DimDim can either be installed on your servers, or run as a hosted application depending on your preferences. DimDim cuts out a lot of the clutter that you expect with similar web applications, and with nothing to download and keep updated it’s very easy for anyone to use, this means that you save lots of time on training your employees to use this software. DimDim is available on free or paid plans; it’s also possible to sign up to a trial for the paid accounts. DimDim has a large number of uses, including e-learning, hotels, financial organizations and many other types of businesses that would benefit from the ability to hold web conferences. Many businesses enjoy using the free version of the software and progress to purchase the enterprise or professional editions.

Signing up is really easy, it’s not possible to miss the large orange signup button at the top of the webpage. Clicking this takes you to a registration page where you can decide on the type of dimdim account that you want. The Free version allows you to host conferences with up to 20 people, the professional version makes it possible to invite up to 100 people.
