DimDim can be used to make web conferencing easier than it normally is; this software allows you to hold a meeting with anyone wherever they are in the world. Nothing needs to be downloaded and installed, you can use video and audio conferencing technologies to work together along with whiteboards, the ability to show slide presentations to one another and also share your desktop (if you install a small plug-in). DimDim is open source, although there are also professional and enterprise editions of the software that can support many more people. DimDim can either be installed on your servers, or run as a hosted application depending on your preferences. DimDim is available on free or paid plans; it’s also possible to sign up to a trial for the paid accounts. DimDim has a large number of uses, including e-learning, hotels, financial organizations and many other types of businesses that would benefit from the ability to hold web conferences.
